Martin here from Carbonfact! This month we’ve released 3 new features that will help you decarbonize your supply chain. Keep reading or take our product tour below to learn about the new features.
Carbonfact now displays detailed process steps not only for products, but also for each material and fabric used in your products. You can filter through your materials by supplier, raw material type, and any of your own custom properties. Materials and processing account for 80% of our average customer's footprint. They are the main source of emissions because most of the energy is used during the manufacturing process. Fabrics are also shared across several products, this means that one change could have a substantial impact on your overall carbon footprint. Wondering where we get the data from? Read about Carbonfact supply chain blueprints here.
In this new report, you can see a breakdown of your footprint for each process step, for all products combined. You can see the total share of footprint and sort per uncertainty share. Uncertainty is Carbonfact’s unique KPI to help you prioritize your supplier data collection. You can sort processes by uncertainty, in descending order. In the example above, we find that the main source of uncertainty is the textile formation, informing which data points should be collected next, such as dtex or any details on the textile formation step.
